Annie Marrs works at the intersection of design, culture and placemaking. As Lead Officer for Dundee’s UNESCO City of Design programme, Annie supports the use of design as a driver for inclusive growth, innovation and positive social impact connecting communities, creativity and sustainable urban development.
With a strong focus on collaboration and impact, Annie works across sectors to develop partnerships, shape initiatives, and champion the value of design as a tool for positive change. Her approach combines thoughtful leadership with a practical understanding of how creativity supports economic growth, social inclusion, and community wellbeing.
Annie is responsible for the biennale Dundee Design Festival, Scotland’s national festival of design and leading the Union Street Transformation Project, the first truly co-designed street in Dundee.
