Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Practice

LandLAB

Founded in 2013, LandLAB is an award-winning landscape architecture and urban design practice working at the intersection of ecology, infrastructure, and place. With studios in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and Naarm Melbourne, the team brings together urbanists, landscape architects, designers, and makers to shape how land, water, and people connect.

Landscape is their operating system. Each project begins by reading the land, from physical form to cultural history, and translating these systems into resilient, everyday environments. From waterfronts and campuses to streets and public spaces, their work aligns urban systems through a landscape-led approach that integrates ecology, climate performance, and material intelligence.

Their process moves from strategy to reality. Through collaboration, co-design, and engagement, LandLAB creates places that are not only sustainable, but lived in and cared for. Projects reveal underlying ecological systems, embed water as infrastructure, and design with people at the centre of experience.
