Nicola Devine is the founder of Tanker, a strategic design and digital studio established in 2003, working between Whanganui and Tāmaki Makaurau. Her practice is a two-lane highway of critical thinking and roll-up-your-sleeves delivery, shaping brand and digital ecosystems for cultural and experiential industries.

She believes in design that is accessible and appropriate to connect people, places and ideas. Her clients span the arts, culture, activism, architecture, experience-led and place-based fields throughout Aotearoa and internationally.

Alongside this, Nicola is Co-Chair of Depot, a centre for creative futures in Tāmaki Makaurau, and contributes to the wider sector through workshops, mentoring, governance, advocacy and support for practitioners, organisations and community-led projects.
