Madeline Prowd is Manager of New Zealand Glassworks – Te Whare Tūhua o Te Ao (NZG), the national centre for glass in Whanganui, Aotearoa’s UNESCO City of Design. NZG supports a thriving community of artists through exhibitions, workshops, and public programmes.

Alongside this, she is a practising glass artist influenced by traditional Italian glassblowing techniques and the precision of making by hand.

Madeline studied at the Australian National University, and trained at JamFactory in Adelaide. Her practice includes international residencies and teaching, with work presented across Aotearoa and internationally.
