Eco Submarine, Josh Taylor: Exhibition
A game built for entertainment that naturally integrates STEM learning for 8 to 3 year olds.
Eco Submarine is a game built for entertainment that naturally integrates STEM learning for 8 to 3 year olds. Players pilot a submarine, process salvaged materials using gameplay grounded in real-world science, and heal ocean habitats.
Developed by a New Zealand team, Eco Submarine's Whanganui presence comes through lead programmer and technical artist Josh Taylor. Mechanics double as pedagogy, teaching STEM concepts without it ever feeling like schoolwork. Tamariki explore the deep sea and use interactive physics to clean up and restore the environment.
Stop by our iPad stations to let your tamariki play and tell us what you think. Your feedback helps shape how we balance pure entertainment with meaningful education.
