Josh Taylor is a game developer and technical artist based in Whanganui. They specialise in bridging programming and art to create impactful interactive experiences. As a U-Skills Gamification Lecturer at UCOL they are passionate about education and youth empowerment. Their postgraduate research explores applying Kaupapa Māori to uplift rangatahi to tell their own stories through games and digital media. Operating as a Tangata Tiriti they focus on authentic community partnerships. They are currently showcasing EcoSubmarine, an entertainment focused serious game integrating STEM learning for young players. Through teaching and development Josh explores how games can empower communities and make learning fun.
